Western Flyer

Sponsored by The Port of Coos Bay, Western Flyer Foundation, 7Devils, Soulcraft.

Built in Tacoma in 1937, the Western Flyer became famous when John Steinbeck and Ed Ricketts sailed it to the Gulf of California in 1940, later chronicled in The Log from the Sea of Cortez.

After decades of fishing, two sinkings, and a meticulous restoration led by the Port Townsend Shipwrights Co-op, the vessel now serves as a platform for ocean science research and education.

In spring 2026, the Western Flyer will travel north along the Pacific coast, returning to the waters of the Pacific Northwest where the vessel was built and worked.

This voyage reconnects the Western Flyer with the region where it was brought back to life—and brings hands-on ocean science programs to coastal communities across Oregon and Washington.

Elton John Tribute

Madman Across the Water, Andrew Vait’s Elton John Tribute.

Madman Across The Water is a tribute to Elton John, orchestrated by Seattle-based artist and producer, Andrew Vait

The project will build on the energy and momentum of Vait's Fleetwood Mac tribute, The Little Lies, and, faithful to the mythos of Elton John, the show seeks to deliver an authentic and powerful live experience.

Vait carefully chose the words to describe the project, emphasizing that the focus will be on interpreting and upholding the unrivaled craftsmanship in songwriting and stage performance that is woven into Elton John’s legacy.

The project will honor the music of Elton John and is dedicated to the memory of Vait’s mother, who died in September of 2022 after a battle with cancer. Vait recalls listening to Elton John with his mom: “We would listen together and she would sing along while I learned the words.” The music instilled in Vait a deep sense of empathy and softness that has profoundly influenced his career as a performer and recording artist.

You must have grown up on this because you were inside the music, and you paid attention to detail in your presentation…I can tell you guys really love our music!”

Led Zepagain was honored to have been featured on AXS TV’s “World’s Greatest Tribute Bands” in 2014, and were asked to come back for an encore performance in March of 2017 to perform the iconic Led Zeppelin lV album in it’s entirety.

Having played nationally and internationally in such places as Japan, Russia, Ireland, Panama, Alaska, Germany, Chile, Bosnia, Brazil, Peru, Argentina, Canada, Paraguay, Kosovo, Mexico City and Guam, Led Zepagain regularly performs to packed houses all over the world.
