Each screen runs on its own device via its Copy URL in a kiosk browser (see docs/SIGNAGE.md) — Cast (test) only puts up one screen at a time.
Video slides play muted and hold their slot for the playlist's normal dwell time. Links only — no video uploads (storage cost).
Show from / until dates (optional): a slide only appears on the screens between these dates — leave blank to show always. Handy for sponsor terms or a dated announcement: e.g. a "Summer Series" slide set to until Aug 31 stops showing itself on Sep 1, no cleanup needed. Set just from to schedule a slide ahead of time, or just until to auto-expire it.
Tip: a display with no playlist assigned shows its own name as a "this screen is…" card — so a freshly set-up screen tells you which one it is. Assign a playlist to replace it.
